The Erie County Fair announced that opening day, Aug. 6, set a record by collecting 164,384 pounds of food.
This marks the the fifth consecutive time the Fair has set a new record for the largest single-day summertime food drive for FeedMore WNY. This year’s collection represents an increase of 11,260 lbs. (7.4%) over the previous record of 153,124 lbs. set in 2024.
“We couldn’t have done it without you,” said a release by the Erie County Fair. “Thank you to our incredible community for showing up, giving generously, and making a real difference. YOU made this possible.”
