LOCKPORT – On Thursday, July 24th, 2025, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Robinson and East Canal Roads in the Town of Lockport.
Initial investigation by responding Deputies and NYS Troopers at the scene revealed that a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was east bound on Robinson Road. A 2019 Toyota SUV was west bound on Robinson Road when it attempted to make a left turn onto East Canal Road. As the Toyota was turning, it was struck by the motorcycle in the east bound lane. Following the collision, both vehicles came to rest in the intersection. The fifty-nine year old male operator of the Harley-Davidson was air lifted by Mercy Flight to ECMC for treatment of life threatening injuries. The thirty-four year old female operator of the Toyota was evaluated at the scene and released.
The names of the parties involved are being withheld at this time pending notification to family. Investigation by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit into the crash is continuing.
