
LANCASTER – The Lancaster Village Merchant Association is hosting the 4th Annual Lancaster Renaissance Street Faire on Saturday, August 2 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on West Main Street and Cayuga Creek Park in the Village of Lancaster, NY. The event is in celebration of International Mead Day. Mead is honey based and the oldest known alcoholic beverage, dating back to 9000 BC.
This family friendly event has a full afternoon of renaissance themed activities and performances
including:
- Performances by Bewitched Buffalo, Nickel City Longsword and Buffalo Aerial
- Dance at 12:00 and 4:00 in Cayuga Creek Park
- Music by Junk Man’s Choir from 1:00 to 4:00
- Trivia games by The QuizMaster from 1:30 to 3:30
- The Queen’s Parade
- A Dunk Tank
- Over 20 vendors selling crafts, jewelry, food items and more
- An all-ages renaissance costume contest
- A kid’s sidewalk chalk contest
- Kid’s Tent and craft from Lancaster Public Library sponsored by Bloomsbury Lane
- Toy Shoppe
- Turkey legs served by Skoobs Village Grille
