The Americans got on the board first, scoring three runs in the bottom of the second inning, thanks, in part to some poor fielding by the Ironbacks.

The Ironbacks scored a pair in the third and two more in the fourth to briefly take the lead, 4-3 before the Americans re-took the lead, 5-4 in the bottom of the fourth.

The home team scored another run in the seventh and three more in the eighth to take a 9-4 lead, which is how the game ended.

The Americans take to the road to play the Geneva Red Wings on Wednesday before returning home to host the Ironbacks again.
