The Newark Pilots had the Niagara Falls Americans number Tuesday night, winning 5-1 in Newark.
The Pilots scored all the runs they would need in the third inning, going up 4-0. The Americans scored one of their own in the top of the fourth.
The Pilots tacked on a run in the bottom of the sixth, leading to a final score of 5-1.
The Americans return home to Sal Maglie Field to take on the Jamestown Tarp Skunks on Wednesday — $1 hot dog night.
