Opening Day for your Niagara Falls Americans is just 6 days away! Another day, another four Americans players we would like to spotlight!
Keegan Bazinet:
Bazinet is a 6’0”, 165 pound rising sophomore right handed pitching Engineering student from SUNY Niagara. In his freshman season, Bazinet appeared in five games, starting three of them. In his total 20.2 innings pitched, Bazinet struck out 28 en route to a 3.48 ERA. Keegan is originally from Ontario, Canada.
Connor Kiefer:
Kiefer is a 5’9“, 175 pound shortstop that recently graduated from Alfred State College with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Kiefer started 43 games for the Pioneers this spring, batting .325 with a team-leading 1.014 OPS, five home runs, and 36 RBIs. His athleticism was not limited to home plate, as he helped turn 31 double plays, and stole nine bases. This all-around powerful performance helped Kiefer earn Second Team All Alleghany Mountain College Conference honors. As a kid, Connor enjoyed watching silent TV.
Ethan Madison:
Madison is a 6’2”, 210 pound catcher and first baseman from Trevecca Nazarene University. The rising sophomore in the Exercise Science major did not appear for the Trojans in his freshman season, but was a versatile piece in high school, playing three different positions. Away from the ballpark, Ethan enjoys fishing in his spare time.
Liam Shaut:
Shaut is a 5’11”, 160 pound outfielder. In the fall, Shaut will begin his freshman year at Corning Community College, where he will major in Math and Science. He played high school baseball with the North-Penn Mansfield Tigers, helping lead them to their district tournament. Liam shares a birthday with 70 current and former MLB players.
