The Niagara County Department of Employment and Training will be holding an outdoor career fair on Wednesday, June 4 at Oppenheim Park for those seeking employment. More than 70 companies with open positions have signed up to take part.
“There continues to be more open jobs than employees to fill them across Niagara County,” said Don Jablonski, Director of Employment and Training. “There are job opportunities for all levels of skill and experience.”
The event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. in Oppenheim Park, located at 2713 Niagara Falls Boulevard in Wheatfield. No pre-registration or appointment is necessary. The rain date for the event is June 11th.
Jablonski said employers across a broad spectrum of sectors will be taking part, including manufacturing, office, finance, healthcare and skilled trades, among others.
“Employers continue to look for reliable and dependable candidates and are willing to provide significant training to those who may lack experience,” said Jablonski. ““Whether you are currently not employed or looking for a fresh opportunity, our career fair is a chance to meet and talk with those who are hiring and see if there is a fit for you.”
Jablonski said the WorkSource1 team will also be on hand to provide job seekers with services like resume writing and interview prep, to further aid their job search.
