On Thursday, May 22, 2025, at approximately 2:38 p.m., Town of Niagara Police responded to Greater Niagara Federal Credit Union for a report of suspicious activity related to bank fraud.

Thirty-seven-year-old Maurisha Dixon from Tonawanda fled the bank as officers approached. Officers attempted a traffic stop on the subject’s vehicle to which she fled engaging officers in a pursuit. The Town of Niagara Police, NY State Police, Lewiston Police, State Parks Police and Niagara Falls Police all assisted in the pursuit, ultimately forcing the subject to stop in the parking lot of the Seneca Niagara Casino, where she was taken into custody without further incident.

Dixon was subsequently charged with Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Governmental Administration, Reckless Driving and numerous other vehicle and traffic violations in the Town of Niagara Lewiston and City of Niagara Falls jurisdictions. Dixon was taken to Niagara County Sheriff’s Department for arraignment.
