The Network in Aging of WNY (NIA) invites seniors, caregivers, and professionals to attend its 4th Annual Health & Wellness Resource Fair on Wednesday, May 14, from 10 am to 1 pm, at The Grapevine Banquets, 333 Dick Road, Depew, NY 14043.
This free event will connect attendees with over 70 local organizations and businesses offering resources and services that support healthy, independent living for older adults. From in-home care and housing solutions to legal guidance, financial planning, and memory care, there will be something for everyone.
NIA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 1981 by a network of people committed to improving the quality of life for older people and caregivers in Western New York. The organization is comprised of 100 member agencies that focus on aging and long-term care. Members include educators, health and social service professionals, community leaders, government agencies, and individuals.
“As the premier networking organization in Western New York focused on aging, we are proud to bring together our members and the community to promote aging with dignity and support,” said April Romanowski, President of NIA.
Membership is open to individuals and organizations that serve the aging community. Benefits include networking opportunities, educational programming, professional development, and the ability to collaborate with other members who are passionate and devoted to improving lives of older adults. The general public also benefits through greater access to resources, support, and awareness thanks to the outreach and partnerships built through NIA.
