The Buffalo Bills used their first round (30th overall) pick in the NFL Draft to improve their defensive standing, taking cornerback Maxwell Hairston of Kentucky.

Hairston made 20 starts and played in 32 games at Kentucky, where he tied a Kentucky record with three career interceptions returned for touchdowns. In all, he’s posted six career interceptions and made 89 tackles. In 2023, he led the SEC with five interceptions.
