LEWISTON — On January 21, 2025 at 0841 hours, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division received a 9-1-1 call reporting a motor vehicle that had crashed into a house in the 400 block of Kenwood Drive. On arrival, Deputies confirmed there were no injuries to either the occupants of the residence or the single occupant of the motor vehicle. Deputies then called out a building inspector to assess the structural integrity of the residence.
Upon investigation, it was determined that the vehicle was traveling north on N Fifth St when it left the roadway, crossed over the median and through the southbound lane. It continued into a yard where it struck some small trees, a fence, and then ultimately came to rest after crashing into the residence. Deputies arrested the Operator of the vehicle John Jourdain, a 57-year-old male from the Town of Lewiston. Jourdain was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs (Misdemeanor) and issued several tickets for Vehicle and Traffic Law Infractions. Jourdain was transported to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Facility to await Centralized Arraignment.
