While the venue isn’t being definitive, it looks like Buffalo’s Mohawk Place will soon be shuttering its doors.

According to a Facebook post by the Mohawk Street bar, “It looks like we won’t be around much longer.”

The iconic music venue went on to say, “here’s what we hopefully still have coming up,” listing shows on Jan. 4, 5, 10, 17, 18, 25, Feb. 1, 8, and 15.

Speculation in the WNY music community is that the venue is closing due to 24-year-old Bird Piché suing the venue, along with the lead singer of the Australian rock band Trophy Eyes and the show’s promoter after a crowd surf attempt left her partially paralyzed.

We’ll provide more details when they become available.
