The Riviera Theatre and several local restaurants are teaming up to help support Twin Cities Community Outreach (TCCO), home of the NT InterChurch Food pantry, with a special event on Wednesday, December 11, according to Niagara County Legislators Rich Andres, Randy Bradt and Jesse Gooch, who are spearheading the effort. This is the second year for the event, dubbed “A Miracle in North Tonawanda.”
The Riviera will be hosting a screening of the Christmas classic “It’s a Wonderful Life”, with admission free to anyone who brings a non-perishable food item to the theater. In addition, multiple restaurants are also supporting the event by donating a portion of their proceeds from that evening to TCCO. Anyone who dines at one of the partner restaurants will also be given free admission to the movie.
“This event truly embodies the Christmas spirit, as not only can you enjoy a night out at one of our great restaurants and then take in a holiday classic, but in doing so, you will be assisting TCCO in providing food, clothing and holiday good will to people in our community who are in need,” said Legislator Andres.
The movie will begin at 7 p.m. at the Riviera Theatre, located at 67 Webster Street in North Tonawanda. Partner restaurants include: Canal Club 62, Dockside, Dwyer’s Irish Pub, Figmor, Galassi’s Sub Shop, Hideaway Grill, Panes, Submasters and Webster’s Bistro. More are being added every day.
