LOCKPORT — Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced that Tommie B. Brown, age 48 of Lockport, was sentenced to 2 to 4 years in state prison for his conviction of Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree.  Brown led Lockport Police on a high speed chase before crashing his vehicle into a tree on Stevens Street on January 29, 2023.  The vehicle caught fire seriously injuring a passenger.

Seaman stated, “We take cases of fleeing police in motor vehicles very seriously because of the extreme danger posed to the public.  This type of reckless conduct can and regularly does lead to severe injury and even death.  My office will continue to seek to hold accountable those who needlessly place others in harm’s way.”

The case was prosecuted by Vehicular Crimes Bureau Chief Christine Savoia.
