Congressman Nick Langworthy (NY-23) issued a statement today on his personal/campaign X (formerly Twitter) account calling former President Donald Trump’s removal from the Colorado presidential ballot, “pure partisan election interference.”

His statement added, “The abuse of our justice system to obstruct President Trump’s widely-supported re-election campaign is a blatant assault on the very foundations of our democracy, disenfranchising millions of voters in the process. This outrageous ruling cannot be allowed to stand, and we will not be silent.”

He later reposted a note from fellow Republican and former United States Ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell stating that “Colorado is now in play.”

Langworthy, a former Erie County and New York State Republican Chairman, has long been a supporter of Trump and was part of his 2016 transition team.
