Our Abortion Survivor friends from Philly are back with an update from the Laboratory and looks like a child survived named Abhor-ted. It’s such a cute little thing we couldn’t help resist an opportunity to talk about this beautiful creature. This massive abomination drops December 9th and we strongly urge you prepare for this like it’s the end of the world (if you’re into that tomfoolery). The artwork was done by Andik Godfinger.

Sam has been a friend of mine for a while and gave me the opportunity to listen to their sophomore release. This EP is truly their finest hour and an improvement over the first effort “The Back Alley” which released in 2020. HIs riffs are more groove focused that he composed in the Laboratory with Abhor-ted and is very concise. AS has a more refined, slammy approach to their riffs and rhythms. There’s some sprinkles of death metal here and there but for the most part on this EP it’s slamming death metal with some quick blast sections that pop up. It’s a well produced EP the boys really put love and labor (pun intended) into.

What also makes this band great is their ridiculous and stupid humor. They clearly put a lot of thought into their theme and comedic lyrics. Being a big King Kong fan, the new song’s line about his member sent me through the fucking wall. I love bands that take their craft seriously, but also is great to see bands like AS add comedy to death metal they’re passionate about.

The vocals are a strong point again, and very unique. It’s in the lower end which always sits well with me, and is unique because a lot of death metal vocalists aren’t too audible. Just like their gnarly logo, you can understand the brutality and mayhem while enjoying yourself. The good thing about EP’S is they’re short enough where you want to give it a few more listens, revisiting the music. It’s easier to go through a 15-20 minute release 2 to 3 times rather than a 45 minute effort multiple times in one sitting. I’ve soaked in all the fetal juices and cheesesteak grease from the Laboratory I feel like I’m in my own version of a Thanksgiving day food coma.

The drums are so groovy and brutal along with the bass it’s a heavily emphasized rhythmic experience. It doesn’t matter how fast or slow your music is, it has to be consistent (unless your’e a prog or avant garde band). The dudes are consistently playing shows across PA in the USA. If you’re in the area I’d urge you check them out if you live near Philadelphia.

You can preorder the EP on bandcamp and on apple before the metal community gets whacked with King Kong’s big dong. They also have a ton of dead baby merch to appease to those who survived their abortions. Sir Cumsizer is available everywhere to stream and for your personal pleasure, however you choose to please yourself. Don’t forget, they’re dropping the rest of their load on you (circumsized or uncircumsized) on you December 9th. That day is going to go hard in more ways than one.
