The Lewiston Police Department was dispatched to Garlow Road near Mt. Hope Road on Oct. 31 at 3:21 p.m. for a motor vehicle accident. The driver and passenger were extricated from the vehicle by Lewiston Fire Co No 2 and transported to ECMC by Upper Mountain Fire Company, and Tri- Community Ambulance.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the operator of the car was traveling south on Garlow Road when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
The accident is being investigated by the Lewiston Police Accident Investigation Unit, with the assistance of the Niagara County Sheriffs Office Accident Investigation Unit. The names of the occupants are being withheld pending proper notification of the family.
