On October 3, 2023, SP Machias Troopers arrested Nicholas Boitschenko, 44, of Machias, NY for Theft of Services and Criminal Tampering 2nd Degree.
Troopers investigating a complaint at a residence on Roszyk Hill Road in the town of Machias determined Boitschenko had removed a water meter from the residence and was receiving municipal water without paying for it.
Boitschenko was arrested and released with appearance tickets for Machias Town Court where he is due to appear in November.
