Sheriff Michael J. Filicetti announces the arrest of 30-year old, Mariah L. Heintz, a visitor at the Niagara County Correctional Facility.
Corrections Officers intervened when they witnessed Mariah L. Heintz attempting to pass suspected narcotics to an incarcerated individual she was visiting. Heintz was charged with one count of Promoting Prison Contraband in the second degree (A Misdemeanor).
Heintz was given an appearance ticket for the Town of Lockport Court for formal arraignment. The suspected narcotics were sent to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Forensic lab for processing.
Sheriff Filicetti said, “This is the second attempt to bring in dangerous contraband in less than a week. Again, officers did a great job detecting and stopping suspected narcotics from entering the facility.”
