NIAGARA FALLS — The All WNY bowling team outperformed their season averages tonight en route to winning seven points against the top-ranked Cornell Financial in the Sanborn Businessmen’s bowling league at Rapids Bowling Center.

On the Cornell Financial team, Scott Milleville rolled a 204-195-157 for a 556 series. Doug Barney rolled a 211-229-211 for a 651 series. Ken Jackson bowled a 229-225-233 for a 687. And Mark Milleville scored a 208-223-203 for a 634 series. With handicap, the team had a 888-908-840 for a 2636 team series.

On the All WNY side, Tyler Mondoux shot a 194-229-246 for a 669 series. Anthony Berak, armed with a new ball and a chipper attitude, bowled a 126-130-113 for a 369 on the night. Scott Leffler rolled a 136-130-119 for a 385 series. And team captain Andrew McGrath came up big with a 172-191-169 for a 532 on the night. With the substantial help of their handicap, the team scored 910-962-929 for a 2801 series.

Coming into the night, All WNY was in seventh place with 16 points. Cornell Financial had 29 points to start the night. With the seven points added from tonight’s win, All WNY is likely to pull into either fifth or fourth place in the 10-team league.

They’ll be back on the lanes on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
