BUFFALO — Mayor Byron W. Brown announced today Buffalo City Hall will be lit blue and white tonight in solidarity with the State of Israel after yesterday’s attacks from Hamas. Mayor Brown also asked the Buffalo Landmark Illumination Team, which includes most of downtown’s landmark buildings and structures, to do the same.

Mayor Brown said, “Buffalo is home to a large Jewish population, and I know many in our community are heartbroken after yesterday’s deadly and horrific attack by Hamas militants on innocent Israeli civilians and soldiers. We stand united with you during this difficult time and extend our deepest condolences for the lives lost. Terrorism has no place in society, and we will continue to stand in solidarity with Israel as we have done since 1948.”

From dusk to dawn, Buffalo City Hall will be lit blue and white in support of Israel, the colors of the Israeli flag. Mayor Brown also joined with other mayors across the country in condemning the horrific attacks on Israel.
