On September 5, 2023, SP Machias Troopers arrested James B. Simmons, 49, of Gowanda, NY for Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
Following a pursuit on McKinstry Road in the town of Yorkshire, Troopers arrested Simmons, the driver. While taking him into custody, Troopers discovered Simmons to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Simmons was released with appearance tickets for Yorkshire Town Court, where he was due to appear later this month.
