MOOSIC, PA – A pair of home runs lifted the Buffalo Bisons over the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders as they came out on top 3-2 in the extra innings battle on Saturday at PNC Field.

After a slow start to the game, the Bisons bats woke up in a big way in the top of the fifth inning as Damiano Palmegiani and Orelvis Martinez both hit solo home runs to give the Herd a 2-0 lead. Martinez has hit a home run in each of the last three games he’s appeared in, bringing his season home run total to 11.

The RailRiders cut the Bisons lead in half in the bottom of the sixth inning as Andres Chaparro singled on a line drive to right field, scoring Wilmer Difo to make it a 2-1 game.

Josh Breaux tied the game up at 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning as he hit his second home run of the season, a solo shot to right center field.

The crowd in Moosic got some free baseball on Satuday night as the game went to extra innings and Cameron Eden gave the Bisons the lead in the top of the tenth inning with his bases loaded walk, 3-2.

The Bisons and the RailRiders will finish up their six-game set on Sunday afternoon with a 1:05 p.m. scheduled first pitch. RHP Zach Thompson will get the start for the Bisons and RHP Will Warren gets the nod for the RailRiders.
