On September 8, 2023, Troopers out of SP Warsaw arrested Harold W. Ellis, 46 of Perry, NY for driving while intoxicated and moving from lane unsafely.
On September 8, 2023, Troopers responded to a personal injury accident at 1982 Silver Lake Rd in the town of Perry. Ellis was the operator of the vehicle and stated that he and his passenger were injured.
While interviewing Ellis Troopers could smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath. Ellis was also observed to have watery and bloodshot eyes. Troopers were unable to perform SFST’s upon Ellis. Ellis was able to take a Preliminary Breath Test-PBT reading at the scene. Ellis tested positive for alcohol. Ellis was arrested and transported to WCCH for medical examination. Ellis agreed to a Chemical Test via blood. Ellis was later processed at SP Warsaw without incident.
Ellis was issued traffic tickets returnable to the town of Perry court for September 20, 2023.
