The University at Buffalo has announced its lineup for 2023-2024 Distinguished Speakers Series.

The lineup includes Jeopardy champ Amy Schneider; CEO of the Atlantic and former Editor-in-Chief of WIRED, Nicholas Thompson; author Nita Farahany; New York Times bestseller Heather McGhee, and Amanda Gorman, first-ever Youth Poet Laureate of the USA.

The UB Distinguished Speakers Series has provided the UB & WNY communities with opportunities to learn, grow and connect since 1987, sharing diverse perspectives and experiences, and thought-provoking conversations.

UB President Satish K. Tripathi said, “Since its inception more than three decades ago, UB’s Distinguished Speakers Series has hosted innovators and influencers who have shaped the cultural landscape, tackled grand challenges and probed our shared humanity. This year’s speakers— through the transcendence of poetry, the rigor of scholarship, the purpose of journalism and the courage of conviction–build on this proud tradition, and we are delighted to welcome them to UB.”
