NIAGARA FALLS — The fall season of the Sanborn Businessmen’s League at Rapids Bowling Center kicked off Tuesday night.

All WNY was pitted against Marran Trucking in the first series of the year. Marran took two of the three games in the series, as well as coming out ahead on the total overall three-game score.

The All WNY team is composed of All WNY owner Scott Leffler, team captain Drew McGrath, Anthony Berak and Tyler Mondoux. Marran’s team was made up of Shawn Amrhein, Brock Kroening, Chris Holzman, and Ryan Wagner.

Mondoux was the definite bright spot for the All WNY team, rolling a 197-200-248 for a 645 series. McGrath started slow but regained form quickly, rolling a 99-143-176 for a 418 series. Berak was steady with a 106-106-109 for a 321 series. Leffler broke a shoe, fell on his face and bowled a 113-98-130 for a 341 series — not the best.

The All WNY team returns to the lanes next Tuesday.
