On August 18, 2023, Troopers out of SP Clarence arrested Jason A. Lajoie., 32, of Tonawanda, NY, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.
Troopers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Staley Road in the town of Grand Island. During the interview, Lajoie was exhibiting signs of impairment. Troopers determined Lajoie had been operating a vehicle while in an impaired condition. Troopers located narcotics inside the vehicle. He was arrested and transported to Kenmore Mercy Hospital where he submitted to a blood test. Lajoie was released with appearance tickets for the town of Grand Island court, where he is due to appear at a later date.
