Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that a jury has found 25-year-old Jairus J. Kedzierski of West Seneca guilty of one count of Murder in the Second Degree (Class “A-I” felony). He was acquitted of the other count in the indictment against him. Jurors rendered their decision this afternoon after approximately 10 hours of deliberation following a five-day trial.

Kidd, Jr., was taken by ambulance to ECMC where he was pronounced dead.

Kedzierski faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison when he is sentenced before Erie County Court Judge Susan Eagan on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. He continues to be held without bail.

DA Flynn commends the West Seneca Police Department for their work in this investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Ryan D. Haggerty of the Homicide Unit and Assistant District Attorney William Fitzgerald of the Felony Trials Bureau.
