NEWFANE – On July 10th 2023 at 0225 hours, Deputy Clarke observed a stolen vehicle out of the City of Buffalo northbound on Ewings Road. The Operator committed multiple traffic infractions and Deputy Clarke attempted to initiate a Traffic Stop.

A vehicle pursuit ensued throughout the Town of Newfane and ultimately ended in the Town of Lockport after Patrols successfully utilized the Stop Sticks, deflating all four tires. The vehicle drove off the road into a ditch and four occupants fled on foot. Deputies gave chase and with the assistance of the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit and UAV Team, the New York State Police, City of Lockport Police and Lewiston Police Department, apprehended all suspects.

The below listed males are charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd (D Felony), Resisting Arrest (A Misdemeanor), Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd (A Misdemeanor) and Conspiracy 6th (B Misdemeanor). Franklin A. Chambers a 21-year-old male out of the City of Buffalo, Demetrius M. Davis Jr. a 22-year-old male out of Cassadaga, Tarin T. Abram a 23-year-old male out of the City of Buffalo, Ishmeal J. Muhammad a 23-year-old male out of the City of Buffalo. Chambers, who was operating the vehicle is additionally charged with Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle (A Misdemeanor), Criminal Mischief 4 – Reckless Damage (A Misdemeanor), Reckless Endangerment 2nd (A Misdemeanor), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd (Misdemeanor) Reckless Driving (Misdemeanor), and numerous Vehicle and Traffic Law Infractions.

The arrestees were held for Centralized Arraignment in the Niagara County Correctional Facility.
