TOWN OF LOCKPORT — On 07/01/2023 at approximately 0941hrs, The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a telephone call reporting a vehicle fire at 5708 Glendale Drive in the Town of Lockport.
When responding patrol units arrived on scene, they found a pick-up truck with the engine compartment fully on fire, in the roadway. The fire was too large to be extinguished with a fire extinguisher. Fire personnel from South Lockport Fire Company responded to the scene to extinguish the blaze using fire apparatus.
At this time, the cause of the fire appears to be from a mechanical issue, Niagara County Origin & Cause will be continuing the investigation. The pick-up truck appeared to be a total loss. There were no injuries as a result of the incident. ###
