BUFFALO, NY – Thanks to a spectacular six innings pitched by Buffalo Bisons starter Wes Parsons, the Herd were able to shut out the Worchester Red Sox 4-0 on Saturday night at Sahlen Field in downtown Buffalo.

The Bisons got the scoring started in the bottom of the third when Jordan Luplow doubled to center field, scoring Tanner Morris from second base and giving Buffalo a 1-0 lead. Luis De Los Santos kept his hot bat going from last night as he hit a two-run home run to straight away center field, extending Buffalo’s lead to 3-0.

Buffalo tacked on another run in the bottom of the sixth to make it a 4-0 game as Luplow worked a bases loaded walk which allowed Cameron Eden to score from third base.

RHP Wes Parsons, who was taken out after the sixth inning, had a spectacular outing for the Bisons on Saturday night. With six innings pitched, he allowed zero runs, had zero walks, and struck out nine batters. This was Parsons’ fourth start of the season for the Herd after he was signed by the Toronto Blue Jays to a minor league contract on May 8, 2023.

Zach Pop also pitched effectively with three strikeouts in 1.2 innings of work on a Major League injury rehab assignment. Hayden Juenger was able to secure the final four outs in the Bisons victory.

Buffalo and Worcester will play the fifth game of their six-game set on Sunday afternoon at Sahlen Field in downtown Buffalo. RHP Paxton Schultz gets the start for the Bisons and RHP Norwith Gudino will be on the bump for the opposing Red Sox.
