TOLDEO OH – Luis De Los Santos drove in three and homered in his second straight game to boost the Buffalo Bisons to a 10-7 victory over the Toledo Mud Hens on Tuesday night at Fifth Third Field.

The Bisons got off to a hot start with an Otto Lopez RBI single to score Tanner Morris from second base in the top of the first inning. The RBI marked the 13th of the season for Lopez and gave the Herd a 1-0 lead.

The Mud Hens answered back in the bottom of the first, as Parker Meadows hit a homerun to even the score 1-1.

In the top of the second inning, Luis De Los Santos smashed his second home run in a Bisons uniform to put the Bisons back out in front 2-1.

With two outs in the bottom of the second inning, Jeremy Palacios tallied his first triple of the season. On a wild pitch to Brendon Davis, Palacios made a break for home plate to score, tying the game 2-2.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the third inning, a walk to Michael Papierski plated the Mud Hens third run of the game. In the next at-bat, a force out by Corey Joyce scored Donny Sands, expanding the Mud Hens lead to 4-2.

The Bisons responded in the top of the fourth inning as Davis Schneider led off the inning with a walk, followed by a Wynton Bernard double. After a wild pitch by Austin Bergner, Schneider came in to score, cutting the Bisons deficit to 4-3.

De Los Santos stayed hot with an RBI single to center field, equalizing the score 4-4. With two outs, Tanner Morris doubled to score two, giving the Herd a 6-4 advantage.

Davis got things started for the Mud Hens in the bottom of the fourth with a lead-off walk. After a Meadows double, Justyn-Henry Malloy grounded out to shortstop scoring Davis, paring the Bisons lead to 6-5.

A De Los Santos single started the Bisons scoring in the top of the fifth, as Rob Brantley came around to score from second base. After back-to-back walks to LJ Talley and Morris to load the bases, a Layne Henderson wild pitch scored De Los Santos from third, putting the Herd out in front 8-5.

In the top of the sixth inning, Schneider hammered his 12th homerun of the season, scoring two to give the Bisons a commanding 10-5 lead.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, Papierski singled to score Andre Lipcuis, cutting the Bisons advantage to 10-6.

Kerry Carpenter hit a home run to center field in the bottom of the ninth inning to trim the Bisons lead to 10-7.

The Bisons will play the second game of the six-game series against the Mud Hens tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. EST as Wes Parsons is set to make his Bisons debut.
