TOWN OF WILSON — Niagara County Sheriff’s Deputies rescued a dog this morning from a burning home on Beebe Road.

According to a report from the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, the Niagara County Emergency Communications Center received several 911 calls at 10:20 a.m. stating that smoke and flames could be seen coming from the residence.

Responding Deputies arrived on scene and observed heavy smoke coming from the roof of the structure. Deputies were able to rescue a dog that was trapped inside of the house, and were able to determine no one else was inside.

Several volunteer fire departments responded and quickly brought the fire under control. The Red Cross responded to the scene to assist the occupants of the residence. Niagara County Origin and Cause responded to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire. A damage estimate is unavailable at this time.
