The finalists for the 2022 NFL honors were announced today and Josh Allen and Sean McDermott made the cut.

Allen is one of five finalists in the Most Valuable Player category, along with Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

McDermott’s bid for Coach of the Year is opposed by Brian Daboll of the Giants, Doug Pederson of the Jaguars, Kyle Shanahan of the 49ers and Nick Sirianni of the Eagles.

The finalists were determined through the AP’s new voting system, which asks voters to rank their top five picks for MVP and top three for the other awards. The winners will be announced at the 12th annual NFL Honors ceremony on Feb. 9, which will air live on NBC, Peacock and NFL Network.
