Over the weekend, Troopers out of SP Fredonia made the following arrests: Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Driving While Intoxicated and a Burglary 3rd arrest at TJ Maxx.

On Saturday, January 07, 2023 at 04:39pm Troopers once again arrested Alexander R. Santiago, 47, of Dunkirk, NY for Burglary 3rd degree and Petit Larceny after once again shoplifting from TJ Maxx located on Vineyard Drive.  Troopers located Santiago in a vehicle, attempting to leave the scene and was quickly placed into custody.  Santiago was once again released on appearance tickets for the town of Dunkirk Court.

On Saturday, January 07, 2023 at 08:10pm Troopers arrested Mark A. Sullivan, 36, of McKean, PA after being observed by patrols operating a vehicle without headlights on Central Avenue in the village of Silver Creek.  During the investigation, Troopers noted a strong odor of marihuana emanating from the vehicle, as well as failure of standardized field sobriety tests at the scene.  Sullivan was arrested and transported to SP Fredonia.  Sullivan went through an examination by a Drug Recognition Expert and consented to a blood draw at Brooks Memorial Hospital.  Sullivan was released to a sober third party at SP Fredonia with an appearance ticket for Hanover Town Court.

On Sunday, January 08, 2023 at approximately 01:00am Troopers arrested Matthew R. Heath, 26, of Jamestown, NY for Driving While Intoxicated.  Heath was stopped by patrols after his vehicle was observed travelling 75mph in a posted 45mph speed limit zone on NY-60 in the town of Gerry. During the investigation, Troopers noted Heath’s signs of impairment, including a strong odor of beverage alcohol and the failure of standardized field sobriety tests.  Heath was arrested and transported to SP Jamestown, where he refused a chemical breath test.  Heath was released to a sober third party at SP Jamestown with appropriately issued traffic tickets.
