On February 17, 2022, SP Amity Troopers arrested Miranda J. Gregory, 42, of Wellsville, NY, for Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the first degree and Welfare Fraud in the third degree.
SP Amity Troopers investigating a welfare case from Allegany County Department of Social Services, determined that Gregory had failed to report the public assistance she was receiving when applying for additional benefits. Gregory was arrested and processed at SP Amity.
Gregory was issued an appearance ticket for the village of Belmont court, where she is to appear in March 2022.
