On December 31st, 2021, New York State Troopers arrested Jonathan Otero, 30, of Dunkirk, for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree and Resting Arrest.
Otero was pulled over for committing a traffic violation on Route 20 in Brant. After failing several SFSTs, the Troopers attempted to place Otero under arrest at which point he fled the scene. Otero was apprehended shortly afterward by Troopers and the Seneca Nation of Indians Marshalls. Otero was transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk where a blood sample was secured. Otero was then transported to SP Fredonia where he was processed, issued tickets and released. Otero is scheduled to appear in the town of Brant Court on a later date.
