On July 10, 2021, SP Amity Troopers arrested Coty J. Denning, 26, of Friendship, NY for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree: Loaded Firearm, four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree, and Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Non-Original Container.
During a traffic stop on County Road 20 in the town of Amity, Troopers discovered Denning to be in possession of two illegally possessed handguns, methamphetamine, and oxycodone.
Denning was arrested and arraigned in Friendship Town Court, where he was remanded to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.
