On August 18, 2020 the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) charged Keiyoshia M. James, 20 of Niagara Falls, NY with Leaving the Scene of an Accident- Resulting in Death (VTL D Felony).

On December 21, 2019 at 8:20 A.M., Troopers out of SP Niagara responded to Lockport Road in the Town of Niagara for a human body located off the side of the roadway.  Further investigation revealed that the victim, Maxim Vyazovoy, 22 of Niagara Falls, NY was walking on the north side of the roadway and was struck by a vehicle-traveling west bound on Lockport Road.  The Niagara County Coroner pronounced the victim at the scene.  Utilizing the vehicle evidence left at the scene and other forms of evidence, the vehicle was located.  James was arrested and processed. James was virtually arraigned at SP Niagara by Niagara Falls City Court.  James was released on her own recognizes and scheduled for court in October 2020.
