On August 9, 2020 at 5:06 A.M., Troopers responded to a one vehicle collision on the I-86 east bound, exit 12 on-ramp in the town of Ellicott. Further investigation revealed that the 2003 Pontiac Vibe entered the on-ramp at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and traveled down an embankment striking a culvert. The operator and only occupant, Jeffrey A. Baker, 40 of Jamestown, NY was pronounced deceased at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled at the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office.
