PRESS RELEASE




On July 6, 2020 at 4:40 P.M., Troopers out of SP Jamestown responded to a missing child on Damon Hill Road in the town of Gerry.  While patrols were in route, the 3-year-old child was located at the bottom of an above ground pool unresponsive.  Troopers and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies administered life saving measures but were unsuccessful.  The child had no life vest on at the time of the incident.  The body was removed to the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.

Sinclairville Fire Department and EMS assisted in this incident.

This incident is still under investigation.
