On July 4, 2020, SP Olean Troopers arrested Derek H. Magiera, 23, of Salamanca, NY for Driving While Intoxicated.
During a traffic stop on State Route 417 in the town of Great Valley, Magiera was exhibiting obvious signs of intoxication. Troopers determined he had been operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition. He failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. Magiera was then arrested and transported to SP Olean, where a chemical breath test revealed him to have a 0.08% BAC.
Magiera was released with appearance tickets for Great Valley Town Court, where he is due to appear in August.
