Niagara County to offer COVID-19 update at 2 p.m. - All WNY News
The Niagara County Department of Health issued the following update on positive COVID-19 cases in Niagara County:

We regretfully report one new death of a Niagara County resident, a 92 year-old female with underlying health conditions.  We send our deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

The rest of the update is as follows:

  • 28 new positive cases
  • Total of 488 positives to date (isolations + recoveries + deaths)
  • 229 in isolation
  • 206 isolating at home
  • 23 in hospital isolation
  • 234 recovered
  • 25 deaths 
  • 2544 people tested (source: https://covid19tracker.health.ny.gov/)
Quarantines, unlike isolations, are for people who are well and not showing symptoms, but may have been exposed to the virus.  Right now, 192 people are in quarantine and 451 have completed quarantine.

Niagara County Legislature Chairman Becky Wydysh will provide an update on COVID-19 today at 2 p.m.  The update will be live on LCTV and streamed at lctv.net.    This broadcast will then be available later in the day in LCTV’s on-demand library under “Niagara County Legislature” and on the county’s Facebook page.
