Niagara County has announced that five more people have tested positive for Coronavirus.

The patients include:

Newfane – 73 year  old male, hospitalized
City of Lockport – 66 year old male, hospitalized
Wheatfield – 37 year old female, home isolation
Town of Lockport – 50 year old male, hospitalized
North Tonawanda – 42 year old female who has been in isolation at home.  The test results finally confirmed COVID-19, but she has since recovered and is out of isolation.

In total, there have been 19 Niagara County residents who have tested positive for the virus. Three of those have recovered, while the other 16 are in isolation. Additionally, the county currently has 46 people in quarantine and 53 who have completed quarantine.

“We received two negative tests results today that we had been waiting for. That’s always good news,” according to an email from Kevin Schuler, the county’s public information officer. “We are now waiting for two new test results.”
