A Rochester man was arrested after an incident shortly after noon Monday in a department store in the 1500 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard, Amherst Police reported.

Officers went to the store after a report of a man having inappropriate contact with a 10-year-old boy. With the help of the boy’s description and video surveillance, police found a suspect at a nearby restaurant.

Michael C. Johnson, 29, was taken into custody without incident, police said, and was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and forcible touching. He was held on bail.
