DARIEN — A 68-year-old Lockport woman died Saturday in a two-car crash.

According to New York State Police, at 3:11 P.M., Troopers out of SP Batavia responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Sumner Road and Harlow Road in the town of Darien. 

Further investigation revealed that a 2017 Buick was traveling north bound on Harlow road and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Sumner Road. The 2015 Dodge was traveling west bound on Sumner Road and struck the 2017 Buick on the passenger side. 

The operator of the 2017 Buick, Shirley Bane, 68 of Lockport, was pronounced at the scene by the Genesee County Coroner.  Other occupants of the Dodge were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit assisted in this investigation.
