PRESS RELEASE

CLARENCE — Congressman Chris Collins today announced $883,754 in federal funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for SUNY College at Geneseo. The grant will help fund the ADVANCE Partnership: Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges Partnering and Liaising Across the Nation that SUNY Geneseo is leading.

“Supporting projects aimed at increasing STEM training for teachers is crucial to improving the education for those in Western New York,” said Congressman Collins. “Providing SUNY College at Geneseo with this funding will equip them with the necessary tools that will provide more knowledge to students in the STEM field then before.”

This project will ensure that efforts include attention to intersectional issues in STEM academic workplaces which will contribute to the effectiveness of strategies that are being adapted.
The Congressman’s office remains available to assist any local entities pursuing a federal grant.
