BEMUS POINT — A 25-year-old Bemus Point woman was charged with driving without a licence and her passengers were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on County Route 44.

According to New York State Police, Troopers pulled over a vehicle for committing a traffic violation. Subsequent investigation revealed that driver Alicia Machado’s expired permit was suspended four times, that 56-year-old Michael Centi was in possession of a pipe containing methamphetamine residue and that Adriana Machada, 24, was in possession of a bag containing methamphetamine. 

All three subjects were arrested and transported to SP Jamestown.  Centi and Adriana were processed, issued appearance tickets and released, to appear in the town of Ellery Court on a later date.  Alicia was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, pending arraignment.
