CLARENCE — Congressman Chris Collins (NY-27) today announced the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has allocated Erie County $80,646 in federal funding. This grant will provide assistance in funding the Western NY Sustainable Business Roundtable Clean Production- Chemical Reduction Project.
“It is of great importance we invest our federal funds back into the community, especially for educational purposes like this one,” said Congressman Collins. “This grant will provide Erie County will the resources they need to teach manufacturing business on ways they can reduce their toxic chemicals.”
Funding from this grant will go to the Erie County Department of Environment and Planning, and its partner, the Western Sustainable Business Roundtable to educate and train manufacturing companies on how they can reduce their use of toxic chemicals.   
The Congressman’s office remains available to assist any local government pursuing a federal grant.
