STEAMBURG — A 26-year-old Hamburg man and a 27-year-old Arcade man are facing drug charges following a traffic stop on Old Route 17.

According to New York State Police, William Lockwood, 27, of Arcade, stands charged with for two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and Anthony Mastrocicco, 26, of Hamburg, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. 

Police say Lockwood was pulled over for a traffic violation and while speaking to the occupants, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle and its occupants revealed that Lockwood was in possession of a container with methamphetamine and a pipe containing methamphetamine residue, and that Mastrocicco was in possession of a pipe containing marijuana and a container with marijuana vegetation.  Lockwood and Mastrocicco were placed under arrest and transported to SP Jamestown.  Lockwood and Mastrocicco were processed, issued appearance tickets for the town of Cold Spring Court and are scheduled to appear in court on a later date.
